The Grimloc D-Ring Carabiner

I really like the unique design of this carabiner from goinggear.com. For those of you who attach things to the outside of your packs, what kinds of things do you attach and what do you use to attach them?

I got 5 from CountyComm this past Winter and love 'em.

Izzy, if you don't mind me asking, what do you use them for?

I use them for a variety of things. Typical carabiner detail like carrying a hank of cordage I might bring with me for shelter testing. Or I'll add them to a pack strap to contain an unruly hydration bladder tube. Right now I just have one that I use often and it locks my 20" paracord braided lanyard on my Victorinox Trekker to a pack strap.

Also I forgot to mention I tested out the "tensile" strength on the lock. It took over 50lbs of actual pull before the carabiner popped open.

Thanks Izzy, that's good to know for sure!
